Questions & Answers and Program Wrap-Up |
What This Program is About
The Medicare Secondary Payer Act is a Federal statute that takes precedence over State law and private contracts. It defines Medicare beneficiaries of certain categories for whom Medicare is the secondary payer regardless of state law. This presentation addresses how to comply with the law when managing and settling Workers’ Compensation cases. You will learn relevant Medicare reporting requirements, settlement requirements, and compliance issues. A question and answer period will complete the presentation.
