Nikki Cross has worked for Safeway for over 23 years with retail experience consisting of everything from entry level "box person" to management. Her current position as Loss Control Manager involves a wide range of safety and health issues, including regulatory compliance. She helped develop guidelines for store managers to help with WISHA inspections. Ms. Cross currently serves on WSIA’s Board of Directors as the Safety Liaison.

Damon Vickers practices in the litigation department of Cummins Goodman. His practice includes workers' compensation, OSHA and safety-related litigation and other administrative law defense. Before joining the firm, he was a staff attorney for the Oregon Office of Legislative Counsel. He received his law degree from Willamette University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Occupational Safety And Health Subcommittee. Mr. Vickers is a member of the Oregon, Idaho, Washington and District of Columbia Bar Associations. 2. Participants will respond confidently to WISHA inspections and any resulting citations.

3. The practical situations discussed will enable you to avoid some of the common mistakes made by employers during the inspection process.

4. Participants will be able to make informed decisions at each critical juncture of the enforcement process.

5. Participants will receive a sample program to help prepare employees in case a WISHA compliance officer appears at the door.
