"Neuropsychological Evaluations in a Forensic Context and the Interplay with Workers' Compensation"

Sarah Ewing, Attorney - Sather, Byerly & Holloway, LLP
Elizabeth Ziegler, Ph.D. - Neuropsychologist, Clinical & Forensic

Dr. Ziegler and Ms. Ewing will discuss when you should get a neuropsychological evaluation in a workers’ compensation case, the four different parts of a neuropsychological evaluation, and what you can do to contribute to a more complete evaluation. The presentation will also cover how a neuropsych evaluation assesses malingering, mild-traumatic brain injury, and post concussive syndrome. You will learn keys to asking the right IME questions and how to use the IME report in claim processing.

Dr. Kelly Hofferber, Au.D., CCC-A - MEDPlus Health Solutions

Dr. Hofferber will discuss the importance of hearing, the effects of hearing loss, cause and type of hearing loss as well as understanding an audiogram and decibel scale. The presentation will also cover hearing aids and devices. She will also conduct a hearing test for the audience.
