From the front lines: House passes bad faith bill over to Senate

House Bill 1521, creating and imposing a vaguely defined "duty of good faith and fair dealing" on self-insured employers and their third-party administrators, backed up by steep punitive penalties, passed off the House floor on a 69-27 vote on March 1.
